Lavender International has been an employee owned company since 2015 and celebrated Employee Ownership Day on 30th June by hosting a family fun event at the HQ site in Penistone. The building was decorated with bunting and balloons, a marquee and a scrummy hog roast was set up on the grass outside, the reception was overflowing with homemade cakes and buns, the EOA flag was flying high out front, and not to forget we had our resident DJ Sam Green playing top-notch tunes all evening – a perfect set up for an afternoon of fun and entertainment!
The event kicked off at 2pm, after the students had finished their exams for the day, and went on until the late hours of the night – we had to escort several members of staff off the ‘dance floor’ in the large lecture room when it was time to close up shop! Both employees and family members appeared to have a fab time celebrating EOA day and we look forward to holding another event next year!
We would like to say a big thank you to all who helped organise the event, to #ProPig for supplying a fantastic hog roast, Mini-Marquee Hire for supplying the marquee, the EOA for continually supporting us, and of course all who attended.
