If you were lucky enough to attend Dr James’ presentation you will know the talk was very well received and he answered many questions from the attendees on how we can take this concept from an idea to a reality.
Key points included.
– Lavender international has identified the technical and industrial need for a new separate PCN (ISO 9712) certification for inspection via eddy current array technologies.
– We have engaged with several UK companies across industry sectors to assess their requirements to aid defining the scope of the certification so is of direct relevance to industry: in terms of sector, materials and types of defects inspected for.
– Scope designed to be a single certification that is multi-sector, multi material, based on the fundamentals of eddy current array technologies, their capabilities, best practice and workflow compliance to relevant standards/codes.
– Subject to PCN approval of draft certification documents and excludes tubes, pulsed eddy current and alternating current field measurement array technologies.
We welcome any opinions, feedback or suggestions we encourage you to send any of the aforementioned to james.watson@lavender-ndt.com
