APPH / Heroux Devtek are recruiting for an NDT / Quality Apprentice and we are excited to have been selected to assist them in sourcing the perfect candidate along with delivering the required training.

Based in the UK,  APPH / Heroux Devtek are global suppliers of landing gear solutions for all types of aircraft including military helicopters, advanced fighter jets, civil airliners and business jets.

At Heroux Devtek/APPH Nottingham we specialise in the machining of Aluminum, steel & titanium parts.

Job Description/ Responsibilities

• Setup, control, calibrate and maintain non-destructive test (NDT) equipment.
• Conduct non-destructive testing inspections using magnetic particle and dye penetrant inspection techniques.
• Perform minor blending operations to remediate crack indications.
• Inspect parts using traditional precision measurement tools as required; typical tools include Verniers, Callipers, Micrometres.
• Ability to compile techniques for NDT inspections.
• Make informed decisions using specifications, criteria, procedures and as guidelines.
• Participate and manage 3rd party audits (Nadcap / customer audits)
• Process parts prior to NDT which will include pre penetrant etch / stress relieve operations.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications of Maths and English at GCSE Grade A* to C or

Level 2 Engineering qualifications are desirable.

Choice between the below day shifts both shifts are 38.5 hours per week with a 30min unpaid lunch break:

Days 1
Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 15:30
Friday 07:00 – 14:00

Days 2
Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00
Friday 08:00 – 13:00
