We are currently looking to recruit an Apprenticeship Delivery Manager.
The candidate will be required to manage a team of Tutors on a day to day basis, ensuring the training delivered provides the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the NDT Standard(s) and that all aspects of the apprenticeship are covered.
This is a full-time position with a flexible work-from-home policy. The role will involve travel across England, including monthly team meetings in Sheffield and visits to client sites.
Key duties to include:
- Plan and oversee the delivery of Maths and English Functional Skills in line with individual apprentice needs.
- Assign Apprentices to Tutors to ensure maximum capacity utilisation and collaborate with the Sales Manager to achieve start targets.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure training practices are high quality, including observation of training delivery and reviews.
- Support and coordinate the design, development and delivery of training materials and curriculum content.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, SAR, QIP and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor Apprentice progress and plan and manage timely completions, ensuring alignment with apprenticeship standards, EPA and certification processes.
- Plan and conduct monthly 1:1s with tutors and set clear KPIs and implement management action plans to drive performance and timely completions.
- Support Tutors with the preparation of portfolios and evidence required for assessment, including End Point Assessment.
- Build and maintain strong employer relationships, attend regular meetings and resolve any issues involving their apprentice(s).
- Ensure pre-enrolment, enrolment, assessment, and certification processes are carried out effectively to ensure learners are undertaking the most appropriate programmes.
- Carry out audits of apprentice assignments and project work to ensure quality of provision and provide feedback and guidance to apprentices and Tutors as necessary.
- Provide monthly forecasts on departmental outcomes and tutor caseloads to the Operations Manager.
- Escalate risks and provide regular updates on apprentice progress, implementing interventions for those at risk of falling behind.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted requirements and apprenticeship funding rules, supporting preparation for audits and inspections.
Required competencies:
- Proven experience in team leadership and resource management.
- Demonstrate experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating training in a classroom-based environment, ideally within Further Education.
- Experience supporting learner progression, achievement and retention.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.
- Excellent organisational, communication and self-motivation skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Apprenticeship reforms, including Ofsted framework, Apprenticeship Standards and Endpoint Assessment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience using learner management systems and reporting tools.
- Confident in managing remote teams and driving performance and accountability.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across England.
Desirable skills:
- Experience of Ofsted inspections
- Knowledge of Individualised Learner Record (ILR) requirements and DfE audit processes
- Experience working within a Further Education or training provider environment
Locations: Remote working.
Hours: Full time 37.5hrs per week predominantly Monday to Friday
