Job description
· Assisting those personnel at Inspection Engineer level and above in performing NDT on a wide range of Marine and land-based assets.
· Corrosion mapping utilising complex ultrasonic and electromagnetic methods.
· Modelling of inspection data.
· Work as part of a project team to produce detailed, technical inspection reports.
· Assisting in failure investigations.
· Assist in equipment functionality checks & calibrations.
Perform any assigned tasks with due diligence regarding Brookes Bell’s integrated quality management systems.
Desired Skills
Experience with CAD and 3D modelling software’s (AutoCAD, Rhino or similar). Experience in NDT beneficial. Exceptional writing skills. Experience with programming also beneficial.
Personal Qualities
Willingness to learn new NDT methods and techniques. Attention to detail. Able to converse with clientele in an appropriate manner. Although guidance and tutelage will be provided throughout the candidate should also be capable of independent work and learning. Problem solving.
Qualifications
Minimum of BSc in Engineering or relevant scientific discipline.
Normal working hours
09.00 – 17.30 Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch.
The successful candidate will be required to work away from home in the UK and across the world dependant on client requirements. When necessary, the role will require increased hours and weekend work.
