This will be a part time position based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham or our head office in Penistone Sheffield and will involve travel within the UK.
We also have a flexible work from home policy with opportunity to take a hybrid approach.
Key duties to include:
- Support and deliver training to apprentices and work for successful achievement of Functional Skills examinations up to Level 2.
- Conduct and use initial assessment effectively and set apprentices targets and goals.
- Work with the NDT Trainers delivering aspects of health and safety, safeguarding, diversity and inclusion and British values as appropriate.
- Working with the NDT Tutors support apprentices with the preparation of portfolios, their NDT Project and any other evidence required for the End Point Assessment.
- Support the pre-enrolment, enrolment, assessment, and certification processes to ensure learners are undertaking the most appropriate training and that their achievement is well managed.
- Rigorously implement assessment guidelines and practices as set out by the Functional Skills Awarding Body and the EPAO, and maintain all apprentice records as appropriate.
- Optimise use of available delivery methods and remote learning platforms to provide a bespoke training experience and to minimise unnecessary travel and reduce carbon footprint.
- Invigilate exams and mark Functional Skills exam papers.
- Carry out reviews with apprentices and employers as appropriate.
- Participate in regular cohort and caseload reviews, standardisation meetings, and CPD events as scheduled ensuring that understanding, and industry experience is up to date and relevant.
- Work with other members of the Apprenticeship Team to ensure that a quality and seamless service is delivered to apprentices and employers.
Experience:
- The candidate will ideally have experience of teaching Functional Skills Maths and English.
- A commitment and ability to comply with safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Health and Safety policies.
- Knowledge of assessment procedure in work-based learning and apprenticeships.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and time management.
- Ability to work in a team.
- A teaching qualification is desirable.
