You will work towards a Non-Destructive Testing Engineering Technician qualification and you will gain hands on experience while being mentored by qualified NDT technicians and assessed by training provider assessors.
You will also gain experience in using our internal IT systems as well as developing your Healthy, Safety and Quality knowledge.
You will assist qualified Technicians in carrying out NDT inspections in the relevant methods of vessels, pipework, structural steelwork etc. in accordance with company or client instructions utilizing appropriate NDT techniques including:
– Ultrasonics
– Magnetic Particle Flaw Detection
– Dye Penetrant
– Visual Inspection
– Radiography
– Welding Inspection
– Advanced NDT Methods
Assist qualified Technician in carrying out inspection of incoming material and equipment before its installation.
Learn and understand all current company, client or legislative requirements affecting NDT techniques and conduct all work in accordance with them.
Learn and follow all company and site health and safety regulations.
To learn how to keep all NDT equipment in good condition and ensure scheduled checks are carried out.
Essential Skills

Qualifications
GCSE grades A-C/4-9 in Maths & English, or equivalent.
