Eye tests

If you are coming to study at Lavender International but do not have a current eye test certificate, we can perform eye tests for candidates at our training facilities in Penistone and Rotherham.

All PCN candidates and holders of PCN certification are required to satisfy the minimum vision requirement outlined in PSL 44. Certificate holders are expected to undergo a visual acuity test annually and colour perception test every 5 years. You can view the PCN Vision requirements here.

For £35 + VAT, we can administer eye examinations and issue VA/CP certificates before your training course. To book your eye test, contact enquiries@lavender-ndt.com.

Visual acuity and colour perception course

We also offer a visual acuity and colour perception training course in accordance with PSL 44. This course is suitable for PCN Level 3 certificate holders who are interested in becoming qualified to perform visual acuity or colour perception eye tests to inspection personnel.

This one-day training course includes theory and a mock eye test examination at the end of the assessment. After the course, students will be competent to administer tests to operators and holders of PCN certification.
