Q: Can you describe a typical workday for you as a the Outside Agency Admin Manager?
A: As the Admin Manager a typical work day for me consists of answering emails and booking in work, organising the diary for the Level 3s. I put together the L3 contracts as well as processing paperwork (including exam/training certificates, folders, procedures etc)
Q: What skills are needed?
A: Good organisation, communication, and being able to work well as part of a team but also alone.
Q: How often do you work alone?
A: I tend to work alone most of the time. As a department we do have a monthly meeting where we all get together.
Q: Who do you collaborate with most?
A: I tend to deal with the Accounts departments, Quality, Admin and sometimes Technicians the most.
Q: What are some of the more rewarding aspects of your job?
A: I enjoy seeing a job from beginning to end. Being able to help companies by providing the documentation they need during audits is quite rewarding when they need them urgently. If I am able to help them not receive an NCR by providing them with the documents they need that feels really good.
Q: What do you find less enjoyable?
A: The challenging parts of my job are probably trying to fit work in for the L3s as they are always so busy. There is a lot of juggling work around to suit their diaries.
Q: Can you share an example of a challenging project and how you overcame it?
A: It can be quite challenging when L3s are away from the office i.e. holidays, illness, working away on site for long periods of time.
Q: Can you share a memorable moment or achievement from your career?
A: Managing to look after 7 L3s everyday, managing their diaries and keeping them in check is a huge achievement I feel. But going from a shy 21 year old to where I am now is a big achievement for me on a personal level.
