For example, if you hold Ultrasonic Welds PCN Level 2 Plate and Pipe which expires by 10^th January 2017, you can take the supplementary Node exam up to the end of November 2016.

From 1^st July 2017, PCN requires that the Supplementary exam is taken 6 months prior to the expiry of relevant PCN Certificates.  So, if the PCN Certificate expires in mid-July 2017 then the Supplementary exam must be taken by mid-January, which means booking the exam needs to be made by November 2016.
